THE OPPORTUNITY
The Kern County Public Health Laboratory is recruiting for a Assistant Public Health Laboratory Director. Appraisal (Weight 100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of appraising the applicant's training, education, experience, interest and personal fitness for the position. Appraisal can be based on any of the following: investigation, oral examination and/or review of application.
Minimum Qualifications/Employment Standards:
Possession of an earned doctoral degree in a biological science, laboratory science or related field from an accredited college or university within one (1) year of the date of hire.
Possession of a valid Public Health Microbiologist (PHM) certificate issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Laboratory Field Services (LFS); OR Approval from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Laboratory Field Services (LFS) to begin training in as a Public Health Microbiologist in a State or local Public Health Laboratory.
