Alameda County Public Health Lab
The Alameda County Public Health Department, Division of Communicable Disease Control and Prevention, is seeking a Director of Public Health Laboratory Services.
This position will report to the Division Director of the Division of Communicable Disease Control and Prevention (DCDCP) & Deputy Health Officer within the Public Health Department. The incumbent will oversee the operation and direct the activities and programs of a high complexity laboratory that serves the various public health programs in Alameda County. The laboratory facility was recently moved and upgraded into a newly refurbished building in 2014 with state of the art equipment and safety systems and is co-located in Oakland with the Coroner’s Bureau and the Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab.
